An expressive, tender, and poignant setting of three love poems by John G. Neihardt, author of Black Elk Speaks and Poet Laureate in Perpetuity of Nebraska. The work (here in its original form—for baritone voice, flute, clarinet, viola, and cello—but also available for purchase on this site in versions for baritone voice with piano or mezzo soprano with piano) was commissioned by the Nebraska Chamber Players and premiered at the John G. Neihardt State Historic Site and at the University of Nebraska.
